March 7th: choose the shield target before the enemy does
Preservation March’s shield, increased targeting chance and counterattack form a more particular tool than a generic heal.

Coverage: Premise and early character setup
This is the Preservation form
March 7th has more than one playable form, so identify the Ice / Preservation version before following a build or skill explanation. The Power of Cuteness shields one ally; its wording also links the protected ally’s health state to an increased chance of being targeted.
That means the shield recipient is a tactical choice. The person who most needs immediate protection may not be the person you want to encourage enemies to attack over the coming turns. Look at both needs before committing the skill point.
The counter depends on a protected ally
Girl Power responds when a shielded ally is attacked. The talent is not a free follow-up after every event in the battle, and its trigger limit belongs to the skill’s current version. Track who is protected and which attacks actually produce the response.
Glacial Cascade supplies an area attack with a Freeze chance. A chance is not a guarantee, and an enemy’s resistance can matter. Keep a plan for the turn in which the control effect does not land.
Costs and coefficients have different jobs
The character reference separates the material bill for buying a trace from the coefficient attached to a skill level. A higher purchase cost does not tell you which upgrade changes the action you rely on most.
Start with the practical question: does the shield last through the damage you expect, and does your chosen target produce useful counter opportunities? Use those observations to prioritize the next purchase.
