Buying Manga: Japanese Manga
This is a complete list of all Pichi Pichi Pitch Japanese tankobon. You can easily buy Japanese manga from online stores like Sasuga Books, which I personally recommend. You can buy tankobon online from Amazon.co.jp if you use the "international" order form, but shipping will cost you an arm and a leg. You can also pick up tankobon at an import Japanese bookstore like Kinokuniya, if you're lucky enough to live near one. ^^
Individual chapters of Pichi Pichi Pitch were published in Nakayoshi magazine, and ran from the September 2002 to the April 2005 issue. If you're interested, it might be worth your time to hunt down some back issues of Nakayoshi. You can sometimes find them at Animenation, at Kinokuniya or any other import book store, or on ebay.
Nakayoshi is really cool; every month it comes with a ton of free gifts (called furoku), which have included unique Pichi Pichi Pitch items that you can't buy anywhere else. For example, the February 2004, March 2004, and April 2004 issues have come with a Pichi Pichi Pitch journal, clutch purse, and tin pencil case, respectively. The journal is very nice, too, with a good-quality cloth cover, unique illustrations by Hanamori Pink, and stickers included. So, if you have the money to spare, hunting down some back issues of Nakayoshi might be worth it. However, most of the content each month is not Pichi Pichi Pitch-related. There might be 12-17 different manga series in every issue. Also, there will not be PPP furoku in a particular back issue unless that issue is from the actual run of the PPP manga. In short, if you want free PPP stuff, be sure to look for issues from between September 2002 and March 2005. (There is no PPP furoku in the April 2005 issue, unfortunately, even though April 2005 was the last installment of Pichi Pichi Pitch).
